Priceline Makeup Favorites & Recommendations

While Americans benefit from Sephora’s biannual VIB sales, Australians can enjoy Priceline’s biannual 40% off Cosmetics sales! And, yes, it’s that time of year again, Aussie babes!

To make your Priceline shopping a tad easier, I’ve listed a few of my all-time favorite makeup items that are available at Priceline below. If you’re interested in seeing what my Top 5 Best Affordable Makeup picks from Priceline would be, check this out.

This year the sale will run from 10-12 April, but unfortunately Essence, the Australis Customisation range and Nude by Nature gift packs are not included in the sale this time around.

FACE

PRIMERS

Rimmel Fix & Protect Primer SPF 25: Excellent base for all skin types – moisturizing and has sun protection, but feels very lightweight on the skin!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser: A drugstore dupe for the highly coveted Benefit Porefessional. It’s silicon-based and is more of a skin smoother than a primer that’s designed to make foundation last, but it makes ’em pores go away and literally makes your skin feel like baby skin, so smooth and plump!

FOUNDATION (LIQUID)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation: One of my all time favorite foundations! Read my review here.

Bourjois Nude Sensation Foundation: Silky smooth and erases pores with a light, skin-like finish. Read my review here.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation: Even though it’s targeted for oily skin, my combination (often dry) skin loves this. It’s easy to blend and has an incredible coverage and finish. Read my review here.

Rimmel Radiance BB Cream: This year’s Beautyheaven Glosscar Awards “Best New BB Cream” winner! ‘Nuff sed!

FOUNDATION (CUSHION)

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation: If you’re looking for a cushion foundation and have dry or combination skin, I highly recommend this. The one I have is the US version, but they’re more or less the same. I rarely use the puff to apply the foundation because it requires a lot of blending, so I prefer using a fluffy foundation kabuki brush. It gives the skin such a natural, luminous glow with medium coverage. I featured this foundation in one of my monthly favorites posts here.

Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation: If you have oilier skin but still want to try cushion foundations, this is for you! This has a matte finish with a tad more coverage. This can be easily applied with the puff, unlike the L’Oreal.

POWDER

Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder: My favorite drugstore powder foundation! It’s mattifying but it doesn’t dry out the skin or make it look flat, it somehow still manages to give the skin a nice, natural glow and dimension. As it has buildable coverage, this can also be used to set liquid/cream foundation.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: Best drugstore pressed setting powder I’ve ever encountered. Completely translucent, doesn’t flash back in flash photography, and so handy to travel with as it’s pressed.

CONCEALER

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: This is more dewy and moisturizing than the Fit Me, which makes it excellent for dark circles because this won’t cake up and will hydrate the under eye area really well. Coverage is so amazing.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: Drugstore dupe for the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer! It has a matte finish and excellent coverage. I don’t like using this on my dark circles as it could end up looking a bit cakey at the end of the day because of its matte finish, but this is excellent for covering up blemishes and imperfections.

CHEEKS

BLUSH

Covergirl TruBlend Blush: Three neutral pink shades for three skin tones, love! The shades medium and dark suit me best, obviously. It has such a beautiful finish!

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush: Natural, pink blush that adds a boost of radiance and glow to the skin. It’s like a blush and highlighter in one!

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette (Coral Glow): Best cheek palette in the drugstores IMO! Read more about it in my “Affordable Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit” post.

BRONZER

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer: This is hands down the best drugstore bronzer I’ve ever, ever, encountered. Plus it smells like piña colada. This is almost always sold out so better hurry!

Revlon Sculpt & Highlight Contour Kit: This is the drugstore equivalent of the Kat Von D Shade Light palette, the formula isn’t as buttery-creamy as the Kat Von D, but for the price it’s certainly incredible!

HIGHLIGHTER

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter: I don’t know if this is available in store (it’s unavailable online), but if you spot this, you have to give it a try! This is the drugstore equivalent of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders that give the skin a soft but glowy sheen without any shimmer. It just miraculously luminizes the skin and make it look dewy and slightly wet-looking, interestingly without any large chunks of shimmer.

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter: For a more intense, disco-ball glow, this one is my favorite. You seriously won’t regret it.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strip Nude Palette For Face & Eyes: An all-in-one product that can be used for eyeshadow and for highlighting the face. Absolute must-have as they’re incredible for both the cheeks and the eyes. The glow this thing has is a combination of the Essence Pure Nude and the Maybelline Master Chrome – soft and diffused looking, but incredibly shiny with the tiniest specks of glitter.

EYES

EYESHADOW

Covergirl TruNaked Eyeshadow Palettes: Covergirl eyeshadows in general are some of the creamiest, most pigmented, and most long wearing eyeshadows in the drugstores and the Nudes and Golden palettes are my favorites in the drugstore.

L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow: The creamiest and dreamiest pressed pigments in the drugstore. These are unbelieavbly intense and long lasting.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadow: I can’t live without “Bad To The Bronze” – these are the most long-lasting cream shadows in drugstores. Stick to the original ones and leave the new, leather-textured ones.

MASCARA

Here are my top 3 all time favorite mascaras:

  • Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara: I seriously can’t recommend this super affordable mascara enough. This comes down to $3.45 after the sale, so you have no excuse to hesitate trying this baby out! It lengthens, volumizes and seperates the lashes really well.
  • L’Oreal Paradise Extatic Mascara: This is called the L’Oreal Lash Paradise in the US and I honestly haven’t tried the Aussie version (Paradise Extatic), but I’m sure they’re exactly the same. This is the drugstore equivalent of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I find this to be even better than the Essence, although it is more pricey at $14.97 after discount. It has almost double the volume as the Essence one, which is why it can sometimes be clumpy, but it isn’t a big issue for me.
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: This is the drugstore equivalent of the Benefit Roller Lash, and isn’t clumpy at all. It lengthens and separates better than the other two mascaras, but when combined with one of the other two it would be so incredible.

However, these ones are amazing too:

L’Oreal False Lash Superstar Mascara: My current go-to mascara for long, curly, voluminous lashes. Mini review here.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Waterproof: This is the drugstore mascara if you’re trying to get a “faslies effect”. This can be too clumpy for some, but I personally love using this on top of a good separating mascara like the Covergirl LashBlast Volume MascaraMaybelline Lash Sensational Mascara or the Benefit Roller Lash.

EYELINER

L’Oreal Superliner Superstar Eyeliner: My favorite drugstore liquid liner, really recommend this if you’re into liquid liners.

NYX Tres Jolie Gel Pencil Liner: Hands down, best pencil liner ever. Never smudges and lasts all day until removed. Can’t live without this.

Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Double Ended Shadow + Liner: Featured in my March 2016 Makeup Favorites here!

LIPS

LIPSTICK

Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon: My favorite lip crayons in the market! Read my review here.

Essence Long Lasting Lipsticks: Creamy, long lasting, amazing color payoff, and affordable (only AU$2.80!!!).

Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipstick: Rimmel lipsticks are among my top favorites from the drugstore and these matte ones are so intense and long lasting. My favorite shade from this range is #610 High Flyer.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer & Matte Balms: Seriously love these chubby-stick balms, read my review here. I still prefer the Burt’s Bees ones but Revlon has a much wider color range.

LIQUID LIPSTICK

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet: Super intense and long lasting liquid lipstick range that compares to high end ones! Highly recommend these.

Rimmel Provocalips 16HR Kiss Proof Lip Color: Hands down the most long-lasting drugstore lip color out there. Check out my review and swatches here.

LIP GLOSS

NYX Butter Lip Glosses: Some of my all-time favorite lip glosses. Read my review here.

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lipgloss: My favorite drugstore lipglosses, reviewed here.
