Haul & Swatches: Giorgio Armani Eye Tints in 6 Green Iron, 9 Cold Copper & 12 Gold Ashes

I was roaming around aimlessly in the city yesterday and somehow found myself in the beauty department of David Jones. I wonder how I got there. LOL. Anyways, I was paying for my Burberry Beauty purchases (which will be my next post!) and I saw these beautiful iridescent, metallic tubes from Giorgio Armani.

They turn out to be the new Giorgio Armani Eye Tints and they are UH-MAZING! I got them in the shades 6, 9 and 12. And it’s a silly coincidence that all three numbers are multiples of 3 LOL. Check them out!

Shades

Here are the shades that I got:
L - R: Giorgio Armani Eye Tints "9 Cold Copper", "12 Gold Ashes" and "6 Green Iron".
L – R: Giorgio Armani Eye Tints “9 Cold Copper”, “12  Gold Ashes” and “6 Green Iron”.
6 Green Iron is a warm, olive/moss green shade and has a beautiful metallic finish.
9 Cold Copper is a frosty, warm golden brown and also has a metallic finish. In some lighting it looks like a warm taupe shade.
12 Gold Ashes, my favorite, is a stunning metallic golden champagne with silver sparkles. This will be perfect for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes!

Swatches

Here are swatches of the three beauties. Each shade is swatched twice – left swatch is the swatch straight from the applicator, right swatch is blended.
These swatches were taken  in direct sunlight:

Texture

The texture of these eye tints are very unique! They’re basically liquid-to-powder eyeshadows, so they have a creamy, almost mousse-y texture, but once applied and blended, they become soft and velvet-y like powder.

Usage

They can be used in so many ways – as a primer (base for powder shadows), an all-over-lid wash of color, or as a sheer “top coat” for any eye look.

Applicator

The eye tints come with a doe-foot applicator.
The size is perfect for the eyelids!
I haven’t worn these yet since I’ve only purchased them yesterday, but I’m really looking forward to wearing them! These will be perfect for travelling.
Have you ever tried these Giorgio Armani Eye Tints? What do you think of them?
Let me know in the comments below!

Update: I have worn these numerous times and they are amazing! They lasted over 8 hours on my lids without primer, and last even longer with primer. I love using this as a base for powder shadows! They make any powder shadows layered on top look much more vibrant. I highly recommend these!

Oh and the mousse-y texture makes it so much easier to blend with your fingers than the By Terry Ombre Blackstars, which I’ve reviewed here. (That one’s awesome too, it just requires a bit more work to blend out).
