September 2015 Beauty Favorites

I can’t believe October is here – my son is turning one next week and it’s been over a year since I started this blog. Time sure does fly!

Anyway, here are the things I’ve been enjoying the most in September.

I meant to include the BeccaMineral Blush in Flowerchild but I left it in my city apartment (I live in two places so it’s been difficult for me to gather all my favorites all in one place!) BOOHOO. But click here to read my review and see swatches of the blush!

I spent most of September travelling around the West Coast, so I couldn’t bring much makeup with me. The Smashbox Full Exposure Mini palette has been such a delightful travel companion! It’s so tiny and slim – way smaller and slimmer than an iPhone, yet it has all the basic colors I would ever need. Highlights, transition shades, dark contour shades, and shimmery shades are all included in this tiny 8-pan palette. This would forever be my numero uno pick for travel!

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Dry

I’ve also been enjoying the Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Dry moisturizer! I’ve just reviewed it here, and it’s been keeping my skin moisturized and plump even though the weather in the States have been getting colder and colder.

Bourjois Nude Sensation (1)

The Bourjois Nude Sensation has been my go-to foundation for the past month as it’s so easy to apply and feels like nothing on the skin. No setting powder needed! Every mom with an active toddler needs this! Check out my full review, complete with before and after shots, here.

Along with the Bourjois Nude Sensation, another complexion product I’ve been loving is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. I will be posting a review comparing it to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (my holy grail) and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer soon, but for the time being, I can tell you that this is slightly runnier than the NARS. The NARS does have better coverage, which makes it perfect for covering up blemishes, but for an undereye concealer, the NARS can end up looking very cakey especially after being set with powder. Urban Decay’s Naked Skin, however, as the name suggests, looks and feels more like skin. It doesn’t cake as bad as the NARS but it does have less coverage. It still has medium to full coverage though. I love using this to cover dark circles because it doesn’t look cakey.

As for blush, if you follow me on Instagram you’d know that I’m obsessed with the Becca Flowerchild Mineral Blush, which I’ve raved about here. It’s honestly my all-time favorite blush now!

Becca Blushes (4)

Aside from that, another blush I’ve also been loving is the Clinique Cheek Pop in Rosy Pop blush.

I’ve reviewed the original Clinique Cheek Pop Blush shades here. Rosy Pop is one of the newer shade releases and it’s a gorgeous rosy pink shade. It’s sort of the color you would get if Berry Pop and Ginger Pop had a baby!

Here are the swatches of all the Clinique Cheek Pop blushes I have:

The quality of Rosy Pop is the same as the original blushes, so make sure to check out my review here.

If you’re looking for a blush with a satin, luminous finish, I highly recommend this! Rosy Pop is definitely one of my favorite blushes of all time!

This month I’ve been rotating between four blushes, three of which are in this favorites post! This last one is a blush and bronzer duo and it’s the Olivia Palermo x Ciate London “The Cheekbone Cheat” Blusher Bronzer Duo in Seaside Park, the warmer and orange-r duo out of the two shades they have.

I honestly have never encountered powder blushers and bronzers that are as smooth as these Ciate ones. It’s not overly powdery, but the texture is smoother than a baby’s butt. Yes, smoother!

I have the warmer shade and it adds a gorgeous warmth to the complexion. The bronzer is also amazing! It’s the perfect bronzer for me because it’s not too orange, muddy or brown. It’s the perfect greyish brown shade for a natural contour. I highly recommend this! Go grab it before it’s sold out as it’s a limited edition!

Lastly, for the lips, I’ve been wearing nothing but these two over the past few weeks. Maybe some days I’ll wear something else, but for the most part, it’s either one of these two Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons in Gavi, a warm coral-ly MLBB, and Tatin, a slightly cooler and brighter pink.

They last the whole freaking day! I swear I had this on one day for more than 10 hours although the color wasn’t as vivid as it was at the end of the day, but the product was still on my lips even after 10 hours! It also didn’t dry out my lips, which is a miracle!

Such gorgeous colors aren’t they! I wore the shade Tatin here:

So those are all of my favorites for the past month!

I’ll see you tomorrow for another exciting review!
