I’ve recently been testing out a few different body care brands, but one brand in particular that I’ve been loving the most is APSU.
APSU is an Australian-owned luxury spa brand, offering a selection of luxury body products formulated using the highest quality ingredients possible. All of their products are paraben, SLS and SLES free.
Combining influences from the East and West, APSU’s boutique products offer a unique experience in traditional bathing rituals. Having developed two exquisite product collections, the Funaya and Varanasi ranges, APSU is creating the ultimate in luxury body products.
APSU’s PR kindly provided me three products from the Varanasi range that “delivers Eastern culture in a Western spa style, drawing from Hindu culture and inspired by the golden goddess Annapurna, Queen of Varanasi.”
The hero ingredient of the Varanasi range is 24 carat gold leaf, which has been crafted to nourish the body, mind and spirit through this range of luxury products.

Golden Goddess Body Bar (AU$24)
My top favorite product out of the bunch definitely has to be the body bar.
Aside from the scent being so therapeutically heavenly, it leaves my skin feeling so smooth yet still so moisturized. Body bars often dry out my skin, but not this one.
Plus, how gorgeous are the golden leaves in the bar? Nothing will make ever me feel more luxurious than slathering my body in literal gold!
If you’re worried this might cover your skin in gold flecks or literally make your skin sparkle, fret not, the gold leaves actually disappear when rubbed on to the skin.
Golden Goddess Body Polish (AU$56)
The body polish is described as a “luxurious Gold Leaf polish that enhances softness and dials up your glow”.
It’s basically a creamy lotion that contains tiny exfoliating beads and gold leaves that you apply (typically) in the shower, rubbing it over particularly rough areas such as elbows, knees and heels, and rinse off straight away.
Can you see the tiny gold leaves? How gorgeous is that!
Golden Goddess Bath Bomb (AU$19)
I honestly haven’t tried this yet, but judging from the other two products that I have thoroughly enjoyed using, I’m sure it’ll be bomb.
Anywhoo, just as you’d use other bath bombs, simply fill up your tub with warm water, drop the bomb into the water and “step in and luxuriate”. The bomb contains gold leaves that will float on water once it “explodes”, and you can massage the gold leaf on to your body.
I can’t wait to try this one out!
Have you ever tried anything from this brand? I can’t wait to try more products from them!
