Need a palette that does it all? My current obsession, the Tom Ford Soleil Eye & Cheek Palette in Warm (US$155) is truly a traveler’s dream come true.
Check out my review below!
This palette was released as part of Tom Ford’s Soleil collection and comes in two shades: Warm and Cool, and each palette features two cheek colors and four eyeshadow colors, and is packaged in their signature luxurious white and gold case for the Soleil collection.
It’s pretty heavy compared to other travel palettes in the market because it is Tom Ford and their packaging are very sturdy and substantial.
The blush is a bright, neon-ish peach and might look intimidating on the pan, but looks very pretty on the skin.
The highlighter is a gorgeous warm peachy champagne gold that has a very subtle iridescence to it. It isn’t a crazy intense highlight even though it’s very pigmented, it just adds the right amount of radiance and glow to the skin.
Both of these cheek colors apply smoothly and evenly on the skin and lasted for more than 8 hours on me.
The four eye colors include:
- a frosty yellowish gold;
- a glittery soft brown;
- a metallic warm, rosy bronze;
- and a dark burgundy brown with specks of red shimmer.
All of these shades are very wearable and complement each other perfectly. What I love about this palette most is that you won’t need to use any other palettes to create your eye look. You’ve got a highlight, lid color, glitter and crease/contour color all in one palette. I currently don’t have a camera that can capture my eye look well, but will post an eye look once I do!
As for the formula, they are all very pigmented, smooth, and blendable. They also last for more than 8 hours on my eyelids (with primer).
However, is it really worth US$155?
I honestly think so. I have a tonne of all-in-one palettes but I’m sure this is one that will never fail me as every single shade in this palette is very high quality and complement each other really well. The packaging is also very luxurious and sturdy, perfect for travel because you won’t have to worry about it being crushed. So it pleases the eyes while also being very functional.
If you’re looking for that one perfect palette that does everything, I highly recommend for you to check this out.
This palette is available from Sephora US, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Selfridges, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Spring and Net-A-Porter for US$155.
