Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster, Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, and Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

Clinique is another brand that I’ve been using since I was in college, and one of the first skincare lines I’ve ever committed to. Not everything from their brand was suitable for my skin, I find that the cleansers were too harsh on my skin, but I’ve had great experiences with their toner, moisturizers and cleansing balm.

I was recently sent three products from Clinique and I was so thrilled because I swear by two of the products I was sent, and the other product was one I’ve been eyeing for a while!

CLINIQUE FRESH PRESSED DAILY BOOSTER WITH PURE VITAMIN C 10% REVIEW

AVAILABLE FROM: Clinique AustraliaMyer (A$35)

I’ve been wanting to try this out for such a long time, and I struggle with hyperpigmentation, as mentioned in my previous skincare post, so I was exctied to try this out! Clinique’s Fresh Pressed 7-Day System with Vitamin C includes a Renewing Powder Cleanser with Vitamin C, and this Daily Booster with 10% Pure Vitamin C.

Unique de-ageing Booster harnesses the full power of pure, fresh Vitamin C at our highest concentration to brighten, even and retexturize skin.

Packaging: First off, please note that this booster contains a pretty high, concentrated amount of pure Vitamin C, which is why it’s packaged in a super air-tight, complex packaging because the tiniest exposure to light and air may destabilize the absorbic acid.  It’s so delicate that one tube should be used within 7 days, and is recommended for use everyday, twice a day, because if you keep it longer the components will destabilize.

Once activated, booster retains full power for 7 days, but may darken due to vitamin C oxidation.

Activation: The packaging looked confusing, but it’s actually pretty easy and Clinique also provides illustrations in the information leaflet, which was so helpful. You basically have to activate the ingredients before the first use, and to do this, simply peel off the foil seal at the top of the tube, press the inner bulb/button that was under that foil twice, and shake the tube for 15 seconds – this will mix the product and activate the ingredients. To dispense the product, simply twist the cap off, point the needle-nose dispenser down and press the button on top.

Application: It’s recommended that you apply this by mixing it in with your moistuzier. I’m currently using the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream ($45), so I just mix a few drops into my moisturizer and this makes application so much easier and it doesn’t feel like I’m adding another layer of product on to my skin.

Results: So I finished up my bottle a couple of days ago, and I really like my results. They simply brighten the skin and I noticed that some of my sunspots have faded. My major acne marks are still there, but the lighter ones have slightly faded so I think I need more than just one tube of this good stuff. Overall, my skin is brighter too!

If price isn’t an issue, this is a great way to boost your skin’s Vitamin C intake!

CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE 72 HOUR AUTO-REPLENISHING HYDRATOR REVIEW

AVAILABLE FROM: Adore Beauty (A$60), Clinique AustraliaMyer (A$20-A$85)

This is a very, very lightweight moisturizer that people with oily and normal skin will love. I used to have normal combination skin back in college, which is why I swore by this moisturizer! I still do, actually, but only in the warmer months.

The gel is very lightweight and it feels like nothing on your skin – no oily residue, no tackiness, no grease. It just gets absorbed into the skin so fast and so seamlessly! It’s never caused any breakouts or irritations, so I’m sure this is safe for people with sensitive skin too.

I currently have dry skin, and my skin hates colder and drier months, so this hasn’t provided my skin enough moisture and hydration, but I will be going to Bali soon so I will definitely be taking this with me. I always use moisturizers like this when I’m back in the homeland!

This is simply one of the most reliable, lightweight moisturizers in the world. It’s available everywhere because Clinique is such an accessible brand.

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING BALM REVIEW

AVAILABLE FROM: Adore Beauty, Clinique AustraliaMyer (A$18-A$55)

If you follow me on Instagram and have seen my stories, you’d notice that I have a mini size Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm in my travel bag, which I’ve posted about a few times already in the past year. So I was stoked to receive a full size version of this balm!

This is my current go-to holy grail makeup removing balm. My skin is currently pretty sensitive so I love how it doesn’t strip the skin like makeup removing towelettes and cotton pads do. Every time I rinse it off my skin always feels supple and hydrated.

Application: I take a chunk of the balm and warm it between my hands to thin out the texture a bit, making it easier for me to massage and spread the product on the face. Now, it is extremely critical that you apply this on your dry face with dry hands – the product will NOT remove makeup effectively if it comes in contact with water, even if your hands are only a tad moist. I always make sure all my makeup are dissolved before adding water. How do I know when to add water? Panda eyes and joker mouth – as simple as that. It’s basically when all your makeup has broken down and has mixed with the oil. Then simply massage everything off with water, and for the very last step I usually use a wet, warm washcloth to ensure everything is rinsed away properly.

I’ve been using this for years, and will continue!
