Summer is right around the corner for us in the Southern Hemisphere! Yes, it’s hard to comprehend for us Melburnians as the weather has been nothing like Spring (let alone Summer) – it was freaking 8 degrees the other day, but believe it or not, Summer is merely weeks away!
So it’s time for us to finally get beach-ready!
Now that we’ll soon be showing more skin, an epilator is a must-have beauty tool as it effectively and quickly plucks away hair, not just merely shave them, without much pain. One I’ve really been enjoying lately is the Babyliss Duoflex 770 Cordless Epilator.
BaByliss Duoflex 770 Cordless Epilator is an epilator that efficiently removes the maximum amount of hair in one pass. It features flexible dual epilation heads and 60 V-shaped tweezers for quick, gentle epilation. It offers two times faster and more effective hair removal for enhanced skin softness. The device offers reduced sensitivity and optimal coverage.
This works twice as fast and twice as effective than a standard single head epilator!
Check out my review of BaByliss Duoflex 770 Cordless Epilator below.
This epilator features dual heads with reverse rotation.
The flexible Duoflex dual epilation heads can move at an 30 degree angle to flex and hug every curve of the body to remove hair even in the most hard-to-reach places.
Reverse rotation technology allows the heads to turn in opposite directions to stimulate skin and reduce any sensitivity caused by plucking, giving optimal coverage for enhanced skin softness even after 4 weeks!
60 V-shaped tweezers provide optimal pressure to quickly and gently remove hair even as short as 0.5 mm in just one pass. Though they claim the hair can be as short as 0.5 mm, I find that it feels a bit painful when it’s that short. So I usually grow it out until it’s about 2-3 mm – it would then feel painless.
Other notable features of the epilators are:
- Dual massage rollers sooth skin for enhanced comfort
- Precision light for no-miss fine-hair removal (this lights up immediately once you turn the device on)
- Safe and comfortable grip even with wet hands (won’t slip out of your hands in the shower)
- Waterproof (can be used in and out of the bath or shower)
- Rechargeable, cordless use with 40 minute run time and quick charge function
- 2 speed settings (Speed 1 for sensitive areas, Speed 2 for larger areas and legs)
What attachments does it come with?
The default attachment that attached on to the device works best for larger areas like the legs.
Below is the “foil shaver” attachment that effortlessly glides over skin for a nick-free, silky smooth finish.
Below is the “sensitive area” attachment for precision hair removal from the underarms and bikini line. This is the one I’ve been using and I love it!
It also comes with a “facial epilation” attachment for removal of fine hairs above the lips and chin (image file unfortunately corrupted!).
Finally, it comes with 3mm and 6mm bikini comb guides for pre-trimming too. I’ve never used these so I can’t give my thoughts on these, but they seem handy to have!
Aside from the attachments, you can also find several other things in the pack including a wall charger, a protective cap (see below) and a beauty pouch to store the device and all its parts and attachments.
How to Use?
I love that this is a cordless and waterproof epilator – this means I can use it in the shower!
I find that using it in the shower makes the process less painful because the heat from the water helps to not just relax us but to open up the pores. This makes the plucking of the hair less painful for me.
