My favorite brand is on sale! Omagaaaah!

I was crazy excited for both Cle de Peau and NARS sales, because both happen to be my favorite brands. (For future reference, my favorite makeup brands of all time are Cle de Peau, NARS and Kevyn Aucoin. Haha.)

So, of course I was exhilirated.

The first thing that grabbed my attention were the lip and nail sets, of course. The sets came in three color themes: hot pink (Climax), nude/neutral (Uninhibited), and bright red (forgot the name!).

I was feeling a bit too ecstatic that for a while, I thought, why not try to pull off the bright colored set? So I got the Schiap, and my mom safely went for the Dolce Vita.

Such a bold move from me. I kind of regretted getting the hot pink – I rarely ever wear hot pink! Should have went for the red instead, which is a safer bet.

However, I must say, they do swatch beautifully. I hope I can have the guts to pull this lipstick and lipgloss combo in the near future.

The hot pink Climax Lip and Nail Set includes a lipstick, lipgloss and nail polish in a shade called Schiap.

It’s so bright and beautiful, I wish I could pull it off!

The products in the Uninhibited Lip and Nail Set feature NARS’ super popular neutral shade, Dolce Vita. However, I was pretty surprised to see how sheer the lipstick is.

I already have a Dolce Vita lipstick and it wasn’t this sheer, mine’s actually pretty darn opaque. The sales person said the one in the set just happens to be the one with sheer formula, but the lipgloss has amazing color payoff.

I have yet to try on the nail polishes, so I will do that when I have time some time during the week. Will post a separate review on them!

The last thing I got from the NARS counter was a lipgloss in the shade Tasmania. This super wearable lipgloss is gaining more and more fame because it’s just so neutral! You can use this on top of any lipstick and it will look amazing!

It’s a very sheer pink and is definitely a purse staple for me.

I’m excited to see how the hot pink shade will look on me, probably will look like a clown just because I’m not used to wearing super bright colors. But makeup is all about experimenting with new stuff right? LOL.

Well, aside from NARS and Cle de Peau, I also purchased two items from Ettusais but I got them for a friend, so I don’t think I’d post anything about it.
