Now that it’s spring, we need something with sufficient coverage from cold chills and wind gusts, but still airy enough for days under the scorching sun.

When looking for transitional pieces from winter to spring, you can never go wrong with culottes! They are definitely my spring favorite, and stying culottes are very easy!

Culottes are knee-length trousers, often high-waisted, with wide leg openings that resemble a skirt. Here I’ve paired them with a black crop top and a sleeveless coat from Forever New.

If you are living in Melbourne (like me!) you would understand that the weather can change every 15 minutes – from raining to windy to sunny, all under an hour. Culottes are long enough to give you coverage for those rainy and windy days, but the soft viscose fabric will make it airy enough for those sunny days.
