Summer is right around the corner, and to celebrate the arrival of Make Up For Ever in Australia (MAJOR YAAAS!) I thought I’d show you ten of my top picks from Make Up For Ever for the summer.
Make Up For Ever products are known to be one of the most long-wearing, heat resistant and waterproof makeup in the industry, and I always make sure I travel with them during the summer.

Let’s start with the base.
Make Up For Ever’s ever-so-famous Step 1 Skin Equalizer primer range has ten primers formulated for all skin types (and tones!). I chose the Radiant Primer in Pink because it’s meant for people with light to medium skin tones that need an extra UNF! to their skin. My skin is looking a little bit dull these days, primers like these will brigten things up a notch. Perfect base for that summer glow!
You don’t need to get this exact one, choose one that suits your skin’s needs the most!
The longevity of this concealer is seriously no-joke. It’s very opaque and once it sets, it is so budge proof. I highly recommend this for spot-concealing! I’ve traveled with this to Bali before and it had up to 8 hours of wear before fading – that’s so amazing considering I was by the pool and splishin’ splashin’ all day!
This thing smells so good! I have never had a setting spray that smells as nice as this Mist & Fix. Oh, and since it’s getting warmer and your makeup really needs to be melt-proof, this will help you with that. I find that every time I spray this as a finishing step in my makeup routine, my makeup stays exactly the same all day. No budging, no transferring, no moving around.
I raved about this once before in my July 2015 Favorites post, and I’m gonna rave about it again. It’s a gorgeous bright pink, and looks a bit cool-toned when heavily swatched, but it becomes this gorgeous neutral mochi-pink once blended. The texture is very soft and creamy, such a bliss to apply!

This translucent setting powders works for all skin tones and is available in a loose powder form, or a pressed. I have both, but I love bringing this one with me when I travel. I have been a fan of this HD powder for years, and it was one of the first makeup products I’ve ever purchased, so this powder will always have a special place in my heart. This makes any part of the skin so smooth-to-the-touch and look airbrushed.
These Aqua Cream shadows is the more intense and water-and-heat-proof version of the Maybelline Color Tattoos. My favorite for a Summer everyday look is the shade 15, which is a slightly metallic bronze shade. Gorgeous on its own or as a base for powder shadows.
I always bring this with me when I travel to Bali because it’s the only eyeshadow that would stick on my lids even after I swim. Check out the contents of my Bali Makeup Bag here.
This shade is described as a pearly golden pink, and is a neutral toned pink perfect for all skin tones. It has tiny specks of gold shimmer, and looks stunning under the sun! The formula is very moisturizing and last for up to 4-6 hours before it fades.
If you’re looking for an alternative that is less shimmery and less intense, the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N22 is a gorgeous natural-looking pink substitute. It has a glossier finish than the Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks.
I seriously love these pink tones for the Summer!
If you’re looking for an eyeshadow that will be easier and faster to apply, I highly recommend eyeshadow sticks and these Aqua Matic eyeshadows have the same intensity and longevity as the Aqua Creams, except they’re in a chubby stick form. It’s got a tapered end so you can also use this as an eyeliner.
I have three shades in total, but this reddish brown one has got to be my favorite!
The only eyeliner I always bring along in my professional makeup kit because it has been proven to be the most tear-proof eyeliner for the waterline EVER. I wore this for my own wedding and my waterline remained intense the whole day, it’s unbelievable. I think this is one of the most underrated gel eyeliners out there. I own two or three dozens of eyeliners, and this has got to be the most long wearing.
It comes in a pot and has a waxy but creamy texture. Blending this out is pretty easy too! I used this for a smokey eye look a couple of times and diffuses out so gorgeously.
Lastly I loooove using this to brighten up the inner corners of my eyes. Using powder shadow is fine too, but during the summer we’re always faced with the issue of longevity, and applying this waterproof and long-wearing as a base will make the shadows stay in place for so much longer. So I usually pop this right in the inner corners because dabbing on a powder shadow with a similar color – a pearly, champagne gold.
I actually wanted to include a Make Up For Ever HD Foundation on the list but I ran out of mine last year and I haven’t repurchased! Highly recommend it though!
Are you as excited as I am that Make Up For Ever is now finally available in Australia? I used to purchase all my Make Up For Ever goods in the States, Singapore or Indonesia. Now it’s just a click away at Sephora Australia!
