Bobbi Brown Pink Peony Illuminating Bronzing Powder Set (Breast Cancer Campaign) Review

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I’m so happy with what beauty companies are doing to raise awareness for this great cause. This year, Bobbi Brown continues to empower women and is supporting the efforts of the campaign with the Pink Peony Illuminating Bronzing Powder Set, which includes a rosy pink shade of Illuminating Bronzing Powder and a mini, pink Face Blender brush.

In support of The Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, Bobbi Brown will donate A$16 from the purchase price of the Pink Peony Illuminating Bronzing Powder Set to the National Breast Cancer Foundation! (In the States, US$11 is donated to BCRF).

Check out my review and swatches of the powder below.

COLOR

The color is a gorgeous rosy pink with shimmering gold sparkles. The shimmers aren’t subtle, but they’re not over-the-top either.

Even though I don’t think it emphasizes my pores, the shimmers are a bit too chunky for the powder to be used as a blush. However, the sparkles do fade away pretty quickly, leaving behind a gorgeous satin finish. As you can see in the picture above, the sparkles don’t even show up!

FORMULA

The powder itself is very soft and smooth. It lasted me for more than 6 hours although the sparkles and shimmers die down pretty quickly (which I find to be a very good thing).

PRICE

These cost US$55/A$80, but for the cause, I think it’s quite worth it as I’ve been using this almost every day ever since I got it!

What do you think? What are your favorite Breast Cancer Awareness makeup releases?

AVAILABLE FROM: Myer (A$80), Macy’sNordstrom (US$55)
