I don’t know about you, but my feet get so dry and cracked in the winter! Now that we’re in the heart of winter, my feet has been in desperate need of a pedicure. Thankfully, Scholl generously sent me their brand spankin’ new Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File for me to review, and now there’s no need for me to get a pedicure elsewhere to get soft feet!
Scholl claims that this is:
a beauty must-have for those who are constantly ‘on-the-go’ and want to take better care of their feet, but don’t want to spend hours doing so.
Well, I’ve got to agree. I now only need literally a few seconds to get smooth feet and I can effortlessly do it whenever and wherever I want!
Read on for my Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File review!
The Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File is an ergonomically designed electronic foot file that is rechargeable and waterproof.
Dual Speed System
The product has two speeds: a regular speed and a faster speed. I’ve just been using the regular speed as it’s been effective enough for me.
Rechargeable & Cordless
The product is rechargeable and comes with a charging dock, meaning no additional batteries are required and you won’t have to change the batteries every now and then. The charger is also a USB-enabled universal charger!
It’s also cordless meaning you won’t have to plug it in to use it. This can be used anywhere, even in the shower.
My favorite feature is the fact that it’s waterproof. I use this in the shower and it’s just so convenient and time-saving!
I’ve only used this twice, once in the shower and I used it dry the second time round so I can take before and after photos.
Here’s a before and after photo of the second time I used the foot file. (Sorry if the image of the back of my foot is grossing you out! LOL.)
As you can see, before I filed the back of my foot it was cracked, dry and hardened. Few seconds later – BAM! Soft, clean and well-moisturized. I find that moisturizers get absorbed better when the surface of the skin has been properly exfoliated. It literally only took me about 10-15 seconds to get the back of my foot this smooth.
My foot may not look too crazy dry or cracked in this photo because this is actually the second time I used this product. I used the product for the first time a week or two before this photo was taken so my feet’s condition has significantly improved since then.
The Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File retails for AU$89.99 at leading retailers and pharmacies in Australia such as Priceline (currently AU$53.99 at Priceline!), and the replacement roller heads cost AU$24.99 (2 pieces).
It is really expensive for a foot file, but I think it’s a great investment if you struggle with having soft feet because you’re time-poor or you’re just super lazy (like me! LOL).
A great alternative is the hugely popular Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi (AU$54.99), which has seen over one million gadgets sold to date! It’s not as expensive because it does require batteries, is not rechargeable and is not waterproof.
Do you struggle with getting soft, smooth feet in the winter? What are your go-to products?
