Sephora Wonderful Cushion Healthy Glow Cream Blush Review & Swatches

These cream blushes have such intriguing packaging that I was lured to purchase not one or two, but three different shades!

The cushion-application trend originating from Korea has taken the beauty world by storm, and this Asian Sephora Collection release is just one of the many beauty releases donning the cushion pillow trend.

Check out my Sephora Wonderful Cushion Healthy Glow Cream Blush review and swatches below!

Shades & Swatches

This blush comes in five shades, and I purchased three: Punchy Lychee, Bubbly Syrup and Peach Bomb. Ones I didn’t purchase are the lightest shade, Milkshake, and the darkest/brightest shade, Raspberry Flash.

Sephora Wonderful Cushion Blush Swatches in (L – R) Punchy Lychee, Bubbly Syrup, and Peach Bomb.

Punchy Lychee Sephora Wonderful Cushion Blush – Swatches is a warm-toned peachy pink and is packed with micro shimmers. I personally dislike this color as I don’t like the look of all those glitters on my cheeks. They can look pretty prominent even when applied very lighthandedly although they’d fade within a few hours. Once the shimmers fade, I actually really like the shade!

Bubbly Syrup, my favorite, is a gorgeous neutral/warm-toned medium pink and is the one I’ve been using the most.

Peach Bomb, as the name suggests, is a full-on peach shade and looks great on those who has skin with warm undertones.

Color Payoff

As you can see, these have more of a “stained” look, which is very natural-looking. The creams look very pigmented when first dispensed, but when blended out, they immediately sheer out.

I hated these when I first tried them because I thought I couldn’t see it on my skin, until my mom asked me what blush I was wearing that day. She said she’s never seen a blush look so natural and infused into the skin. That was my turning point – I now adore these blushes. These are amazing especially for no-makeup makeup looks.

If you’re into much more pigmented blushes, then these aren’t for you.

Formula & Application

Although marketed as a cream blush, this blush somehow has a lotion consistency. It’s very soft and blendable. Because of this, I think they’re much more suitable for people with dry skin.

To apply, simply squirt out the tube and blush will be dispensed through the cushion padding, then dab on the product straight on to the cheeks or on the top of your hand. This is best blended by fingers.

This is also best applied on top of foundation, before powder.

Longevity

Even though this only stains the cheeks, they last for up to 6 to 7 hours on the skin.

Packaging

The cute black tubes come with a sponge-tips that dispense the blushes through them. The tubes aren’t hard to squeeze (which often happens with things with tube packaging!) and it’s easy to dispense the perfect amount of product.

Sephora claims that the cushions are “detachable for better hygiene” but I’ve never attempted to detach them yet. Don’t want to break them! LOL.

I love how reasonably sized the tubes are and how easy it was for me to dispense the right amount of product.

Price

I bought mine over at Sephora Australia for A$22. I think they’re currently only available in Asian Sephora stores. Each tube contains 20ml of product, but since a tiny bit goes a long way, one tube is gonna last a long time!

Final Verdict

Since these only give the skin a pinched-cheeks kind of stain, people who love natural makeup looks like my mom would adore these. I personally find that I can only wear these on no-makeup makeup-look kinda days.

So I guess it’s a matter of preference!
