The gorgeous and talented face of Marks & Spencer, Rosie Huntington-Whitley, recently launched her makeup line with Marks & Spencer’s Autograph line and I’ve been dying to get my hands on them, so they were my number one priority when I got to London! I immediately got to a Marks & Spencer store when I got here and ended up purchasing five products from her makeup line.
Here are the five things I purchased:
- Copper Gold Rush Eyeshadow Palette
- Romantic Flush Cream Blusher
- Camisole Blush Lipstick
- Feline Fox Cream Eyeshadow
- Movie Star Cream Eyeshadow
Needless to say, I’m very happy with my purchases. They have the quality and gorgeous packaging comparable to Charlotte Tilbury’s (review here) but at a much more affordable price range.
Check out my Rosie for Autograph mini reviews and quick swatches below.
M&S Rosie for Autograph Makeup Collection
The theme of the packaging is obviously rose gold, which I adore as it’s my favorite color right now. I love everything rose gold, so the packaging is a 10/10 from me! Even the boxes are black with rose gold laces. YES!
The prices range from £12 to £18 (approx. AU$24-35), which isn’t that bad considering the quality of the products and the stunning packaging.
Copper Gold Rush Eyeshadow Palette
There are four eyeshadow palettes (quads, to be more specific) all with neutral, very wearable colors, retailing for £18 each and I picked up Copper Gold Rush, which has a reddish gold/copper tone.
It’s got a matte brown/taupe transition shade, and the rest are shimmery/frosty shades: a reddish mauve, a dark bronze and a light, yellowy champagne. I love the combination of the four colors!
The shadows are so pigmented, even the matte transition one. The red isn’t too red that it looks funny on the lids, and is actually the most buttery and creamy-textured of them all. I wore them for about eight hours and it didn’t fade at all.
I am overly impressed by the quality of these shadows and will definitely pick up more if I get the chance.
Romantic Flush Cream Blusher
The cream blushers also come in four shades, but everything else was sold out except one shade. These retail for £14 each and come in a packaging just like the eyeshadow palettes, just smaller.
The shade I got is Romantic Flush, and I love how appropriately named it is. It gives the cheeks a bright pink flush, but it isn’t too overdramatic. Perfect for date nights, but perfect for everyday use too.
The top swatch is the Camisole Blush lipstick, and just underneath that is the Romantic Flush cream blusher. They actually have a cream blusher in the Camisole Blush shade, which I’m dying to get my hands on!
The formula is very thin and creamy when you first swirl your fingers on the pan, but when dabbed on the skin it turns into a powdery formula that is so easy to blend and even out. It didn’t apply patchily on me and it lasted all day. I love this so much!
Camisole Blush Lipstick
As seen in the swatch above, the shade Camisole Blush is a muted rosy pink, the perfect neutral undertoned MLBB shade. The formula is incredibly smooth, creamy, and moisturizing. My lips were very chapped but wearing these didn’t worsen my lips. Since they have a glossier, satin finish they only lasted for about 4 to 5 hours on me, but they’re so creamy I love reapplying them.
It also comes in a rose gold packaging and is perfectly sized for the purse – not too bulky, not too small it’ll easily disappear.
Feline Fox & Movie Star Cream Eyeshadows
These are my new obsessions and I wish they had launched more colors! They are so comparable to the By Terry Ombre Blackstars (review here), they’re just not as shimmery. They’re also comparable to the Rimmel Scandal’eyes (reviewed here) except they’re not double ended.
The two shades I got are Feline Fox, a dark bronze, and Movie Star, a muted plum/purple. These are so creamy and are in fact much easier to blend than the By Terry Ombre Blackstars (which sets usually almost immediately on the skin). With these, you have much more time to blend but the longevity is just as incredible.
All in all, I am overly impressed by the Rosie for Autograph collection and I think they are worth a try if you can access them. I’m so happy with everything I purchased and am looking forward to trying more from this makeup line!
Have you ever tried anything from this line? Let me know what you think.
