No Pong All Natural Deodorant Review

Have you ever had irritated underarms after waxing or shaving, and your normal deodorant just made it worse? It’s likely because of all the chemicals in the deodorants.

I honestly have been struggling with getting a gentle, all natural deodorant for my sensitive underarms, especially after waxing or shaving. After I shave my underarm skin become so sensitive, I sometimes have to avoid wearing deodorant for at least 3 days (and I shave every 1-2 weeks) because my skin would sting every time I use my normal deodorant, and sometimes end up being red and itchy.

So I was very happy when No Pong came along. I just can’t believe I’ve never thought about getting a natural deodorant before!

ANTI ODOURANT VS ANTI PERSPIRANT

One thing that I find intriguing about this product is that it is not labelled as an anti perspirant, but an anti-odourant. Essentially, this means the product will only prevent odor, not sweat – and I find this to be a good thing. After wearing this for two weeks, I notice that I can still feel myself sweat a little bit (not at all excessive) down there – just a little moist – but I somehow don’t smell anything!

Why? Because…

Rather than mask the smell, block pores, or by using synthetic anti-microbial chemicals, the unconventional anti-odourant [delivers] a 100% natural formula that stop sweaty bacteria from forming and causing the body to pong!

I also notice that NO PONG does not leave a yellowing or stain on my clothes, which is good!

SCENT

It has a very subtle, citrus scent that is absolutely gender neutral. I don’t actually notice the scent at all once I’ve applied it on the skin, which is good because some deodorants have scents that are too strong that they overpower any perfume or fragrances on the rest of the body.

INGREDIENTS

Here are the ingredients and their benefits:

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil) – antibacterial
Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) – neutralises odour
Corn Starch – antiperspirant
Beeswax
Essential Oils: Orange Sweet, Vanilla, Lemongrass, Cedarwood Atlas, Bergamot, Lime, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, and Geranium.

TEXTURE AND APPLICATION

The texture is a soft paste that applies easily on the skin. You’re meant to apply it on the underarms with your fingers, just as you’d apply any lotion or cream on your face and body. It sometimes balls up a bit upon application, but after dusting them off they feel very smooth and silky to touch.

LONGEVITY

They claim to be water resistant and to last up to 12 hours, but I honestly have never tried this in hot weather before, so I can’t testify. All I know is that I never had to reapply throughout the day in this chilly Melbourne weather, my pits smell nice and are dry until the end of the day.

PACKAGING

The packaging is very travel friendly – so lightweight and compact! However, I sometimes find the tin lid to be a bit difficult to open, especially when my hands are a bit wet or slippery.
