What’s In My Makeup Bag?

The contents of my makeup bag changes as the season does, and somehow I’ve recently been so obsessed with rose gold tones that I felt the need to theme up my makeup bag and its contents. Luckily for me, these things happen to be some of my all-time favorite makeup products!

So, what is my makeup bag for, and when do I use it?

My makeup bag is either:

  1. My go-to makeup picks when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to think about which makeup items I want to wear (check out my Two-Minute Makeup Look here!), or
  2. My makeup that I take with me when I need to do my makeup in the car, or
  3. My overnight makeup bag when I’m traveling or sleeping over at my brother’s place!

Take a peek at the contents of my current makeup bag!

Zoeva Rose Golden Makeup Bag: My current makeup bag is a rectangular makeup bag from Zoeva that comes with their Rose Golden Brush Set.

L’Oreal Lumi Cushion in N4: The great thing about this foundation compact is that it comes with a sponge, and even though I prefer applying it with a foundation kabuki brush, this still works well when applied with the sponge that it comes with. I featured this in my February 2016 Makeup Favorites post and will be reviewing this soon!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Medium: Since my current favorite concealer, the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer, reviewed here, is sitting in my vanity, this bad boy is one that’s currently in my makeup bag because it works well for both under eye and spot concealing. Read more about it here.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Travel Size in Dim Light: Dim Light is one of my all-time favorite setting powders and this travel sized version is perfect for traveling!

Sephora Pro Mini Airbrush 55.5: This is, believe it or not, the only brush in my makeup bag and it works great for both setting powder and highlighter. Its small size is perfect for any makeup bag, the bristles are soft, and the fact that it’s gold makes me so eternally happy! This is limited edition so better get it fast if you’re interested!

Kiko Cosmetics Rebel Bouncy Blush in Treasure Rose: This is such a versatile, neutral-toned mauve-ish pink shade and the fact that it’s cream makes it so easy to apply with my fingers. No brush needed! It applies beautifully and smoothly, you can’t go wrong with this.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Warm Nude: This gorgeous beauty is an incredible multitasking product. It can work as a blush, bronzer, highlighter, and even eyeshadow. I personally use this as a face highlighter (cheekbones and nose) and eyeshadow. These are so creamy I can easily apply the colors on the lids with my fingers, even the darker shades on the outer corners of my eyes blend so easily with fingers!

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock: The Ombre Blackstars from By Terry, reviewed here, are my all-time favorite eyeshadow sticks, and this color is a gorgeous, versatile pink that adds a beautiful sheen and pop of color to the lids. I love using this with the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips!

FairyDrops Scandal Queen Mascara: FairyDrops is one of my top favorite brand for mascaras, and this mascara is just one of the most volumizing and lengthening mascaras I’ve ever used. Oh, and don’t get me started on the packaging.

Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Liquid Eyeliner Moon Stick: There’s nothing exceptional about this liquid eyeliner. Well, except the packaging. I just carry this along with me because the packaging makes me feel powerful. Kinda. “In the name of the Moon! I’ll  – ” stop there.

Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil: This has been my favorite and go-to brow pencil since 2013. Beats the Anastasia for me! I featured this in my 2014 Makeup Favorites.

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Bitch Perfect: Don’t mind the name, this is simply one of the most stunning nude pinks in the market out there. And the formula? B*tch, YES! Oh, this is perfection. OK, now I know how Charlotte came up with that name.

Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Sesso: This warm-toned pearly mauve, plummy pink is darker than Bitch Perfect and when worn together, it adds a gorgeous dimension and sheen to the lips. They’re a match made in heaven!

The only non-makeup products here are the Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil and the Philosophy Amazing Grace Fragrance. I keep a face oil because I have really dry skin and often have flaky patches, so this is a quick fix for that! I also mix this with my foundation sometimes, just to give the skin a bit of a dewy finish. And of course I need to smell acceptable wherever I go, so I always bring a fragrance with me, and this is one of my all-time favorite scents!
