April 2016 Makeup Favorites

I can’t believe it’s time for another favorites roundup!

I still use products I mentioned in my February and March favorites posts regularly, but here are some additional stuff I’ve been loving lately!

Benefit They're Real (2)Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner in Brown: This is perfect for minimal makeup days! I’ve reviewed this range of liners here. The only thing I hate about this is the applicator, but the product itself is pretty amazing, especially when applied so close to the lash line to create an “invisible eyeliner ” look.

Carmex Moisture Plus SPF 15 Hydrating Lip Balm: This has been my lip product of choice when I want a hint of color with maximum hydration and comfort. I adore this lip balm because it’s very moisturizing and the color is gorgeous! It’s not overly pigmented, it just provides a nice pop of peachy-pink on my lips and I can apply it even without looking in the mirror.

Dove Protective Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in Beige: I still use my Glossier Skin Tint, which I’ve featured here, but since it doesn’t contain SPF and moisturizer, I’ve been reaching for this Dove tinted moisturizer more this past month because it eliminates the need to apply moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation and setting powder separately. The coverage is sheer to medium, but it feels so silky smooth on the skin I never need to set it with any setting powder.

12445801_114907242243711_637199033_nLancome Juicy Shaker in Apri-Cute: These pigment-infused lip oils come with a pillowy-soft cushion applicator which I love! The oil and pigment will combine when the bottle is shaken, creating “a delicious shot of color with a hint of shine.” This shade looks intimidatingly neon-orange, but turns to be a gorgeous peachy pink shade on the lips!

Poni Cosmetics Brow Magic: I never thought I could find something I like more than my Kevyn Aucoin brow pencil. This has a sharp, tiny tip like the Kevyn Aucoin and Anastasia Brow Wiz and a surprisingly creamy and long lasting formula, but for a fraction of the price!

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting & Highlighting Kit: This kit/palette was featured in my Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit post and is my current go-to cheek palette. Everything in it is gorgeous! The highlighter gives a very subtle glow with very minimal shimmers, the contour shade is the perfect neutral undertoned bronzer, and the blush is a very wearable peachy pink!

Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit (1)Tarte Double Duty Lip Sculptor: I’ve been enjoying all three colors I’ve purchased from this line and I always carry at least one of them in my purse! With a lipstick on one end and a matching lipgloss on the other end, this is a travel or on-the-go must-have. The formula and pigmentation are amazing, the packaging is gorgeous and the longevity is surprisingly good!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette: This has been the palette I’ve been reaching for the most lately, which came to me as a surprise because my favorite Chocolate Bar palette used to be the Bon Bons palette, reviewed here. I love the wide range of neutral transition, contour and lid shades in this palette. The shimmery lid shades in particular are stunning! This has definitely taken the top spot for me this past month!
