October 2015 Beauty Favorites

I’m seriously having a hard time believing that Christmas is almost here… AGAIN. Time to get the tree and tinsels out from the garage! Woohoo!

Anyway, here’s a roundup of my makeup favorites from last month!

Becca Mineral Blush in Flowerchild*

I know I’ve mentioned this on last month’s favorites post but I just can’t stop raving about this! This has, hands down, become my favorite blush of all time – and that’s a big statement for a blush junkie to admit. I’ve been regularly wearing this for two consecutive months and don’t know if I could ever stop!

Check out my full review of the blush here – and it’s currently on sale over at RY.com.au!

Becca Beach Lip Tint in Raspberry/Opal

I’m on a Becca-roll this month. This is a berry red beach tint that’s been infused with Becca’s oh-so-famous Skin Shimmering Perfector in Opal. The golden opal highlight adds a gorgeous 3D, even duo-chrome-ish, effect on the lips. It does feel a bit tacky on the lips, but not to a point where it’s unbearably uncomfortable.

I’ve reviewed it here if you want to read more about it. I’m not sure where you can get this in Australia, but the Raspberry Beach Tint is available and on sale here.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize Marie Antoinette

Oh. So. Gorgeous. I will be writing an individual review on this so I won’t say much about it here, except that it has such a smooth, creamy and blendable consistency. The color is also very vivid when heavy-handedly applied.

Longevity is pretty good at about 8 hours of wear before it starts fading. I can’t wait ’til Christmas – will be getting more shades for myself! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in La La

I love, love, LOVE Colourpop! I’ve reviewed a lot of the shadows here, and the blushes here.

I’ve been rushing through my makeup routine a lot lately, so I’ve only had time for one or two shadows applied with nothing but fingers. This shade is so gorgeous on its own or mixed with other colors. The longevity is great and the texture is so buttery smooth!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

If I could just invest in one luxurious palette, it would have to be this palette! It contains six small-sized powders – three Ambient Lighting Powders (setting powders/highliters), two Ambient Lighting Blush shades and an Ambient Lighting Bronzer. For a comparison of the sizes of the Hourglass powders, see below:

I’ve raved about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes in my review post here. Ever since then, new palettes from Hourglass keep coming out and I keep buying them! I can’t help it – they’re just so gorgeous to look at and to wear!

I will be posting a separate review for this palette, so I’ll save my full thoughts on this then. All I can say now is that I think it’s totally worth the investment.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation*

This has been the only foundation I’ve been wearing this month. My skin has been breaking out like crazy, so the Bourjois Nude Sensation (review here!) which I loooove has no longer been able to even out the redness as effectively as this foundation does.

I have light-medium neutral toned skin and I use the shade 220 and it’s a pretty perfect match for me! This foundation is medium coverage, definitely buildable though.

Best thing about this is that even though it’s meant to be for people with oily skin, it works just fine for me – I have dry/combination skin. My oilier areas remain under control, and my drier areas still feel well-hydrated. This has helped even out the look of my skintone really well, and smoothing out my pores too!

Full review will be up some time this or next week! Stay tuned!
